Creation of three impactful poster concepts for MNM, a contemporary music festival known for favoring visuals that challenge the viewer to find deeper meaning. The theme was “The Sound of Words.”
The first concept is inspired by the color alphabet of artist and anesthetist Nelson Henricks. On this poster, the phrase “Le son des mots” can be deciphered through a series of colorful spheres.
The second concept explores sensory crossover through a character inspired by Munch’s The Scream. Here, the figure has an ear-shaped head, a giant eye, and a screaming mouth, all while covering its ears in a fetal position. It symbolizes emotional reactions to the festival and invites the viewer to experience a mix of feelings.
The third concept is more conventional, featuring a hand playing a string instrument, with visible sound waves. The colors are warm and vibrant, evoking the richness of musical expression.
This project was created as part of the “Advertising Project” course taught by Julie Royer.
